Discount Programs
In many states the insurance
regulations require insurers to provide premium discounts to
eligible employers who agree to participate in certain cost
control programs. For example, in Ohio, penalty-rated
employers may qualify for the
Premium Discount Plus Program
(PDP+) which is a three-year plan with discounts of up to
10% per year. In addition, Ohio’s PDP+ offers premium
rebates of up to 20% per year for achievement of frequency
and severity reduction goals.
